Some users have been reporting Siri problems since updating to iOS 10.1.1. They have unresponsive “hey Siri” issue and problems in voice dictation.  If you have similar issue then we have a few steps you can take to fix the Siri problems. Let’s check it out.

1. First, try to restart Siri. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Tap on Siri
  • Toggle it off
  • Next, turn it on again

2. Try to reset the Network Settings. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Tap on Reset
  • Tap on Reset Network Settings
  • Enter your Passcode
  • Tap on Reset Network Settings to confirm.

    Please note that this step will reset your Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings

3. Try to Switch On/Off Dictation. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Scroll down to keyboards
  • Toggle Enable Dictation to off
  • Next turn it back on

4. Try to Toggle Hey Siri. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Tap Siri
  • Turn off Allow Hey Siri
  • Now turn it back on

5. Try to clean your device‘s Microphone and make sure it works well

6. Try to use DFU mode. You should receive message telling to update to latest version 10.1.1(14B150). Get the update and your phone should work fine.

If any of the steps above can’t resolve Siri Problems in iOS 10.1.1, then it will be best for you to wait for the next update as it might be one of the bugs that has to be fixed.
