One of the new features on iOS 10 is “Rest Finger to Unlock”. This feature allows iPhone and iPad users to unlock their device simply by resting a finger on the Home button instead of pressing it. However, not every iOS 10 beta testers love this feature and want to get the old “Slide to Unlock” back. The good news is Apple listens to their feedback and allows users to enable the Slide to Unlock feature in iOS 10. Here’s how to do it:

How to Enable Slide to Unlock in iOS 10 on iPhone and iPad:

  1. Go to “Settings app
  2. Tap on “General
  3. Tap on “Accessibility
  4. Scroll down
  5. Tap on Home Button
  6. Turn on the switch next to “Rest finger to unlock

That’s it! Now you have enable Slide to Unlock on your iPhone or iPad.

How to Disable Slide to Unlock Feature in iOS 10 on iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap on “General

  6. Turn off the switch next to Rest Finger to Unlock

Now you can unlock your iPhone or iPad simply by resting a finger on the Home button.
