Apple is about to announce its upcoming operating system, the iOS 10, in its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event on June 13–17 in San Francisco, California. Apple is also expected to unveil the latest versions of OS X for Mac, as well as the new versions of watchOS and tvOS, the operating systems that run on the Apple Watch and the Apple TV.
iOS 10 New Features
There is no much information about iOS 10 new features but the newest report suggests that Apple will put HomeKit app on its upcoming iOS. If the report were true then HomeKit users might not have to look for third-party control apps anymore.
Apple HomeKit app
Apple is reportedly preparing its own Homekit app which will allow iPhone and iPad users to manage their smart home though their devices like managing their lights, thermostats, door locks and door bells more.
In fact, all sorts of gadgets that fall into the Internet of Things classifications will be available to manage from your iPhone and iPad with the HomeKit app. Users will be able to lock their door without have to hunt for key, turn on or turn off the light from their iPhone, or set up the thermostat so it’s already comfortable when they get home.
iPhone and iPad users are currently available to manage their smart home though their devices but they will have to download separate apps plus they will have to pay for it. Sometimes, users will still have to manage their devices manually. Apple’s upcoming HomeKit app is expected to be much better than the current third party apps, meaning better quality and we can expect to get it for free.
